dangerous red cardangerous red car Sponsered "Dangerous Red" Sponsored Car Driver John Salemi’s
All-Star Showdown Weekend Falls Short with Broken Rear End

Nashua, NH (February 8, 2010)

John Salemi kicked off 2010 at the TOYOTA All-Star Showdown on January 30 th with a new sponsor, Dangerous Red, and a new crew chief, Mark Tutor, but fell 30 laps short of finishing when contact with another contender broke the rear end relegating John to a 29 th place finish.

John had kept the #63 Dangerous Red Chevrolet clean for most of the night staying in the back of the field while incidents ensued and cars dropped out of the race.

“We didn’t have the best qualifying and it wasn’t worth battling all night to move forward when we knew that would just tear up the race car. We worked on improving the car for the end of the race, staying out of trouble, and staying on the lead lap.”

The first 100 laps went smoothly and Mark and John worked towards a better handling car using each green flag run to analyze the adjustments and each caution to make necessary changes.

“With about 75 laps to go, I drove it down to the white line, got underneath the car in front of me and just drove right by! I knew we hit on something and I was really excited about making a charge towards the front.”

John continued to drive by competitors on the inside making it three wide at times and passing multiple cars. With about 10 laps to go in the second segment, several cars were collected in turn 3 and the caution was drawn. While slowing down to avoid the gathered cars, John was struck from behind lifting the rear of the car off the ground. He brought the car down pit road to fix what appeared to be cosmetic damage to the rear of the car and noticed a problem when he accelerated out of the pit box.

“The car just wouldn’t accelerate and I knew right away that something was amiss in the rear end. I tried to hold on for the last few laps in the segment, but eventually the car just wouldn’t go. When I got hit from behind the car lifted and landed abruptly and that’s probably where the damage was done.”

The weekend did have its positives for John and the John Salemi Racing team. John’s sponsor Dangerous Red got some great exposure on the west coast and through Jamerson Motorsports will continue to sponsor the team for 2010 events along with Valenzano Winery, Chispanic Enterprises, Always A Good Sign, Capt’n Chucky’s Crab Cakes, Checker’s Powder Coating, MmmmPop!, and Middlesex Gases.

“We’re really excited to start the 2010 K&N Pro Series season down in Greenville with our sponsors. I wanted to show them what we can do out in California, but unfortunately our plan fell 30 laps short. Mark Tutor and I made progress every time we communicated and we know what we have to do to move forward.”

Look for the #63 Dangerous Red/Valenzano Winery Chevrolet to take the track at the K&N Pro Series season opener in Greenville, SC on March 27, 2010. For more information visit www.johnsalemiracing.com and www.dangerousred.net

Giving ordinary customers the same deal as restaurants

January 20, 2010, Press of Atlantic City

Randy Bobe Jr.'s company, Chispanic Enterprises, sells millions of dollars worth of food to restaurants, catering halls and casinos throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Delaware every year.

But it's the people in his backyard - literally - he really wanted to bring wholesale food to so they can save money without driving to bulk-sale outlets such as Sam's Club and B.J.'s Wholesale Club.
